Voom by Joy Han Dove Sweetheart Dress

Joy Han is a clothing designer who’s in touch with what women want to wear. The name is probably one you’re familiar with, and if it’s not, you’ll be glad to have found her. Joy Han is the owner and sole designer of designer clothing line Voom by Joy Han. She started the brand with her business partner and husband James Kim in 2002. Since then, she has presented the collection at Los Angeles Fashion Week on several occasions, and Voom by Joy Han has garnered a huge following from celebrities and real world women alike.

It’s hard to name a single female celebrity who hasn’t been spotted in Voom by Joy Han dresses. Paris Hitlon wears them almost on a daily, Jessica Alba, Kim Kradashian, Heidi Montag, Denise Richards, Jennifer Love Hewitt and Miley Cyrus have all been spotted in Voom pieces over the last year. But it’s Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria who made major press for the line when she was snapped wearing the denim Elephant dress a couple of years ago. And this Spring the line has unveiled the Voom Dove Sweetheart Dress, which is on track to being this years answer to the elephant dress!

Once again, animal motif’s are paying off for Voom. They’ve had hits with elephants, giraffe’s and parrots in the past, and for Spring 2009 it’s all about the Dove, which is a sign of peace, love and spirituality. The Voom by Joy Han Dove Sweetheart Dress has a pretty white dove cut out attached to a removable belt. When worn together, the dove sits underneath the bust on the left side. The entire dress is made of denim (100% cotton) and is fitted with a pencil style skirt. There are so many added details that make the Voom Sweetheart Dress standout. In addition to the dove, it’s also lined with thick red and beige lines, outlining one side of the bust and the right pocket.

The dress is also well fitted because it has a cossetted back. And for it to fit your body type best, here are a few tips on how to get into it. It’s recommended that you separate the two sides of the dress, then put it on over your had and slip your arms thorough the thin shoulder straps. These straps criss-cross in the back and connect to the corset. And then behind your back you can take the two loose ends and tighten it as desired, and then tie it in a simple bow.
